Strangely, the OpenOffice website lists a v 3.0 in Swedish for download but not in any other language. Rather than trying to apply the fixes I would suggest you install OO.o 3.0. Does anyone know if this was released as a final version in English The last non-final release I can find for PPC Macs in English was the rc4. There are problems getting OO.o 2.4 to work on Leopard. You drag the icon that has " 2.4.app" below it to the icon that has "Applications" below it. You obviously do not know how to install applications on a Mac (I'd suggest getting a good basic book on Macs). This version works for both the current Catalina (10. I can not tell if OpenOffice is installed or not. We also offer Apple users the current Office free of charge for download. The coffee cup incident happened a couple of times. I double clicked on the 2.4 icon and a coffee cup icon started bouncing on my dock and then it would disappear. It has a Licenses folder, a Readmes folder and a strange looking wide gray box at the bottom that has 2.4, two seagulls with a white arrow and plus sign going through them, and an application folder. I am trying to download Open Office to my Mac PPC, OS X 10.5.4. You'll find very thorough help docs and excellent wizards to master all elements of NeoOffice.Īlthough the presentation tool is a little weak, the rest of the applications in NeoOffice make for a very good free office suite.

Maybe the problem is the MAC OOo 3.0. The presentation tool is the only one I was disappointed with, as it doesn't offer as many templates or tools as I expected to create a shiny, professional presentation. Download has always worked fine for me and I have been using OpenOffice for 2 years, and downloading all betas/rc's for 3.0.

All the different applications in the NeoOffice suite work well and are more than worthy replacements to the options available in Microsoft Office and iWork'08.
